This is a great “base” dip that you can modify to any flavor profile you want. Experiment with adding crabmeat, shredded chicken, or sausage! My family likes to have this to go along with our favorite vegetables and crackers for an afternoon hangout.



Cream Cheese Base

  • 16oz softened cream cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup mild white cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1-2 teaspoons pre-made spice and herb blend (or the mixture suggested below)


  • ¼ cup each of additional cheddar and mozzarella cheese for topping

Herb Blend

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • ½ teaspoon parsley
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper



Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Add the “cream cheese base” ingredients in a large bowl and mix until combined. Fill an oven safe dish and spread the base into the dish evenly and cover with the “topping” when finished. Bake for 20 minutes. Place this under your broiler for 2 minutes and watch it the entire time because it can rapidly become overcooked. Allow to sit for 10 minutes and dive in!
