Having the right items in my purse can make the difference between a successful outing and a nightmare!

The struggle is real when you’re a mommy on the go! In this Fox Segment, I explain how you can turn a basic outfit into something fashionable when you pair it with a basic pump. I always keep a pair of flats nearby just in case! Also, I share with you some things I never leave home without.

About the author

Monique Samuels

When I was a little girl, my aunt introduced me to her holistic approach for healthy living. Whenever I was sick, she always had a natural remedy. When I became a mom, I remembered my aunt’s recipes, and sought out to find additional solutions. I soon discovered essential oils and began creating my own natural remedies for everything from the common cold, nasal congestion and earaches, to helping my children get a good night’s sleep. I started sharing these discoveries with friends, and before long I was receiving calls, emails and texts every day from friends who were searching for help, which led me to creating this site.

  • My LO is 3 months and he gets congested with a stuffy nose and a bit of mucus in his chest. Is there a better way to decongest him. I do use the saline and nose sucky (new one) and humidifier but I can tell his sleep is getting disrupted at night. Any suggestions.

    • Do you use therapeutic grade essential oils? I use RC essential oil by Young Living. You can dilute it with your favorite carrier oil (coconut, olive oil, etc.) and apply underneath the LO’s feet. I would start with a tablespoon of carrier oil and 1-3 drops of essential oil. You can dilute further and rub on LO’s back and chest as well. Please use caution with essential oils on infants and always make sure the oils you apply are therapeutic grade (not aromatherapy grade as they aren’t safe for topical use). You can also try making an onion poultice and applying to LO’s chest to help loosen mucous. Good luck and please keep us posted on progress!
